'Love Song' returns and more
Well, its been a turbulent few days.
Out of My Mind was a 9 minute song with a 2 minute mellow outro, but while working on the outro, I decided the outro was better than the rest of the song by a lot. So, I turned the entire song into just the outro - making this now a 5 minute mellow hip hop track.
From there, I removed the current outro to the EP I was working on, a piece so far called Sublime, and saved that idea for later. And made Out of My Mind the new outro for the EP.
Then, a couple of new pieces I had, I decided they weren't far enough along to be released in the next couple of months. So, I started looking at my full catalogue for more complete pieces, and decided to bring Love Song back into the EP.
At this point I'm being driven by numbers more than flow. But... well, you know how symbolic and pattern based I can be... psychotically so... so, flow is something I get caught up in. Turning away from it and toward numbers simply makes me more normal than anything.
Right now, with a lot of pulls and pushes, the current track list is:

So, as you can see, I'm missing one. I don't know what to do. But I really want to release 7 instead of 6. And you may ask "Isn't that your pattern shit again?" But its deeper than that. Megaphone is built from the ground up to be the opening track on a release, and I sunk a lot of heart into it, so I want it to open to a large number of songs and I've decided 7 tracks is the minimum. So, this is a numbers thing.
On the plus side, I am in a very strong place creatively right now and have successfully started several pieces that could be on the EP. But like I said, they'd be released young, and when you believe in a track so completely, is it not better to let it age? I don't know.
Apart from music, there is really very little going on in my life. I haven't been playing videogames. But I kinda feel I should take a break from the music and cool off a little.
